Up 2 Speed Training Blog. What you need when you need it

Patients are reporting that they are recovering faster after a rigorous workout when they do the “Smart Stretch Technique” (using the foam roll and ball).  Dr. Sanchez says this is the result of massaging away trigger points and breaking up scar tissue within muscles and between other soft tissues.  Patients are feeling “fresher” and are experiencing less “soreness and stiffness” which helps them resume their healthy and active lifestyle.  This is an important breakthrough for our patients because they are realizing the importance of muscle, tendons, and other soft tissue maintenance to prevent injuries.

**It is important to note that Dr. Sanchez and our health professionals spend time with each patient to insure proper technique and execution of the “Smart Stretch Technique”.

Today Gerald came back for another workout with Dr. Sanchez.  Dr. Sanchez added a few more band drills to his plan today:  lateral band workout with a harness and a layup drill with a harness.  One of our patients referred over a new patient, Michele, who came in initially to buy a foam roll from us.  Dr. Sanchez evaluated her then proceeded to show her how to properly use the foam roll.  Michelle was really impressed with Dr. Sanchez knowledge and his approach to preventing injuries that affect how we live our day to day lives.  Michele left with a wealth of knowledge and we hope to see her back soon.

Today we had a few new patients: Gerald (a basketball player… wants to improve his strength, speed, and agility), Paul (neck, shoulder, and back problems) and Josephine (knee and leg problems).  Dr. Sanchez evaluated each patient and started them on the “Smart Stretch Technique” which consists of rolling on a foam roll and a ball in various areas of the thigh, glute, hamstring, calf, and feet.  After the preliminary stretches Dr. Sanchez put a workout plan together for each of the patients.  Gerald’s workout plan consisted of running on a trampoline with a harness and a band, cone work, dribbling and shooting drills with a band.  Paul and Josephine workout plan was more stretching and a light workout to strengthen their problem areas.  After each of their workouts they received muscle / tissue work and chiropractic adjustments.  Our regular patients are great; they create a fun training environment and encourage other new patients.
